St Georges Day Parade

Meet in Uniform with group flags at the Oldham Futsal car park OL9 6AA (old grange school) at 12:30 to be ready to set off for 13:00, with a short celebration at Latics ground Rochdale road end stand 14:00 start, expected finish 14:45ish.

 


Grants Available

You may be aware that the Development Grants Board (DGB) operated a Section start-up grants programme to assist with the costs of opening a new Section. The programme ran for more than seven years and provided over 2,500 Sections with funding.

Oldham Borough District Cub & Scout Camp 2017

14th – 16th July Ashworth Valley Scout Camp

Oldham Borough District Cubs & Scouts have a camp planned for the 14th – 16th July at Ashworth Valley Scout Camp. The camp will be outdoors in tens with lots of fun and adventurous activities to do including climbing, archery, zip wire, crate stacking, shooting plus many more.

 


First Response Course

The first four courses on the original First Response are now fully booked, the first time we have places is 10th June if you can pass that around your Districts please.

However, an extra date has now been added in PRaWS District HQ on 26/03/2017

7.30pm to 9.00pm

SCOUT hero . . . Ethan Curley from 7th Oldham Leesfield Scout Group has helped save a little girls life.

Ethan offered guidance, spoke to paramedics and helped explain how to conduct CPR to the family.

Oldham Mayor, Councillor Derek Heffernan, presented Ethan with his medal in the presence of friends and family.

He also received a signed letter from Britain’s official Chief Scout Bear Grylls.

Volunteer at Scouts
