DESCRIPTION:The County’s Day of Excellence\n \n(Scouts\, Explorer scouts and Network). \nThis years Day of Excellence event willd be held at Giant Seat on Sunday 23rd September and involve various challenge and survival bases with the day concluding with a barbecue and presentation of the “Excellence” certificates. \n  \nThe leaders and instructors would use the Saturday to set up the bases and stay overnight. There will need to be traffic control along the access road and a marque would be erected for the weekend. The site has been booked for the weekend. \nThe DCs are to be urgently asked to let the County have the names and details of all the Chief Scout’s Gold\, Platinum and Diamond Awards and any Duke of Edinburgh Award gained since the last Day of Excellence event in January 2016 so to give some indication of likely numbers. \n  \n \n  \n
